Pros

Benefits weren't bad. Matching 401K. There were some good co-workers, but they have all since left-- the better you are at your job, the more will get dumped on you because no one else will do it.

Cons

Poor management, only interested in final quotas. Push you to hide mistakes, but if they find out, they'll fire you to cover thier own butts. Long hours. If you don't need to work here to survive, don't. It's not worth your sanity. They'll run you into the ground.

Pros

Friendly Co-workers. Friendly, albeit inept, supervision. Reasonable hours. We got to eat chili once a year.

Cons

No acknowledgement of accomplishments. Expectations much higher than training permits. Expected lab techs to be proficient instrument repair techs. Weak links not held accountable for their shortcomings. Expected to pick up slack for aforementioned weak links. Direct supervision basically useless for any questions regarding methods or instruments, left to rely on senior employees. Lab supervisor extremely disrespectful (called employees trained monkeys) General air of indifference in regards to the correct way to do things (just get a result mentality) Left to flounder with no help when it was clear you were out of your depth. Expected to work overtime while supervisors left early. CEO liked to impart his political beliefs on employees during annual meetings. The chili was never that good.
