Pros

Good training program, good compensation for good performers, Opportunities to advance and to run your own show within your sales territory.

Cons

Growing pains, often capacity inhibits what you are able to sell, as this is a service based company. Lab employees are not paid well and they have high turnover. Health plan is not great.

Pros

The people are the greates asset to ESC. From the newest employee to people who have worked here for more than 20 years, all of the staff seem to really care about doing a good job and helping the company grow. Everyone is willing to help each other out with work and seem to care about the other employees

Cons

Communication could be better. They have tried to make improvements on that in the last couple of years and it helps, but there is still more to do

Poor Communication

Pros

This company could provide entry level jobs as a good foot in the door to the industry. They are nationwide so there are opportunities for internal promotions if you are willing to relocate. The CEO is personable and makes annual visits to his labs where he gives the people a company update and allows them an opportunity to ask him questions.

Cons

The benefits could use improvement. Many employees are overworked and underpaid. This company is in the business of acquiring smaller labs and either closing them or converting them to Pace labs. Senior corporate management does not have much communication with the lab during these transitions, even when making drastic changes, so the workers often feel left in the dark. They change their "business plans" on a regular basis and are secretive about everything so it seems like they are always scheming. At my location women have been harassed and discriminated against. In the past couple years three different people have been penalized due to pregnancy/maternity leave. Two of them were passed over for promotion and one was reassigned to a lower position after her return to work.
