Pros

Rogue Valley Manor (Medford OR location) allows access to their pool, gym, and sauna. The benefits are okay, though I work part time and thus don't qualify for them

Cons

Management is a joke. Honestly this is the biggest con, because there's a lot of brown nosing, drama, grief, and frustration. It's sad because this company could really excel with residents and staff if PRS actually did something with their director and management. Drama is abundant. Majority of the staff is female, between 16-18. Most of them in high school. It's even worse when they don't actually need the job and thus don't put much effort into it. Meal plan benefit is only partially true. They advertise that there's a cafe open 24/7 to the staff. This isn't true. The main employee break room cafe is open Mon-Fri. It's open at various times of the day. On Saturday and Sunday you need to go into the kitchen at exactly 7:00 to grab left over food. Staff has been fired because of eating quesadillas from the grille and the plaza isn't really a meal option. Pay starts out at $9.50 and depending on how much you brown nose you can get raises from there. Favoritism is definitely a huge thing here. We've had staff employed for years who are more qualified at the job receive their promotions long after new hires. We've also had staff demoted for no given reason. It's all kinda weird and upsetting.

Fantastic company to work for

Pros

Surrounded by wonderful coworkers who all want to be here. The CEO is a hard-working, down-to-earth man who has been with the company for a long time. Lots of long-term employees. There is a real family atmosphere at PRS that I've never had at any other jobs (including smaller, more "modern" companies that claim to have this). They trust us to do our job.

Cons

Sometimes it's hard to make positive change. They definitely don't over-staff, and could actually use a few more people in a few important areas.
