Pros

When you get the support from Japan, business was good. Great brand, old and stodgy right now, but you could do so much with it.

Cons

They hate doing business in the US. The margins are so thin especially compared to Europe and Asia. They have a great brand, but except in Japan they are doing little with it. They need tor re-invigorate the brand and get people in there that are competent and let them do their job.

Pros

Only if you need a paycheck and can't find work elsewhere. A great place to work if you have no ambition or goals.

Cons

Low pay as compared to other companies. Ridiculous sales quotas not based on personal achievement. Compensation schedules are changed by management at will or ignored if they feel the company is not profitable enough. It's a real pain to get reimbursed for business expenses. No pay raises or chance of advancement. Frequent reorganizations and management changes. Old timers control the company and fight change. Lack of communication from management. Incompetent senior management rotates from division to division. Foreign managers make the decisions.

Pros

Very good medical insurance benefits. Being a market leader, a lot of steady work for engineers to work on at least for the next few years.

Cons

not a whole lot of communications from sr. management . For example, VP of Engineering has yet to have an all hands meeting with all the engineers. For a company of this size, it is amazing that the engineering management treats design documentation as an afterthought. Managers go through the motions to ask for design documents but there is no training of staff on how critical these documents are for the implementation of current features and future enhancement and sustaining.
