Work Life Balance/HR

Pros

Pay is great. Standards for food quality and food safety are high.

Cons

Work life balance is a joke. 55 hour work weeks are the norm, but you are hourly so that’s a plus. Expect to live breathe and eat only Panda when you move up to management. I have been asked to cancel vacations for VIP visit and told I must help out neighbor store that does not have manager with cleaning and giving them some of my top staff for that day. We have faked a manager for visits that isn’t even that manager of the store getting visited. We spend tens of thousands of dollars on stores before VIP visits so Andrew Cherng is happy to see upkeep of stores. Company is running so short on GM and AM they will promote anyone lately & after 8 years I decided to give notice. Money is not worth your life. HR is a joke. HR is a bridge between associate/manager and company and protecting the brand. HR ONLY cares about the brand and keeping HR complaints and cases to a minimum.

Poor Management

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Free food on shifts and fair pay.

Cons

Full of toxic management. They live off of the principle of negative reinforcement. Or in other words, your weakness will always be pointed out and highlighted and the good you do will never be acknowledged. If you care about your mental health this is not the right place for you.
