Pros

The “fruit cart” mentality is 100% true at Panda. You will have a lot of responsibility and can really own your projects, learning a ton along the way. You can see the work that you do truly impact the company.

Cons

You’ll be watching your back the whole time while you’re working, since your movement up in the company 80% depends on how people perceive you and how much they like you, which depends on how much you divulge about yourself personally; 20% is your performance. I’ve never felt so judged in a work setting for choosing not to be in the in-crowd, for choosing to have a separation between my work life and personal life. If you work at Panda, get ready for that complete blend of work/personal/family, whether you like it or not. The emphasis on this trumps good/smart performance and work, which is frustrating when your work is stellar and is directly propelling the company forward, but you can’t progress since you aren’t going on vacations with your coworkers or sharing all of your vulnerabilities with them.

Pros

Free food (until you get sick of it) and good benefits

Cons

Becareful of what you wish for... if you want to move up the ladder at panda, be ready to go through a rigorous and intensive training where you have to take a series of tests, homework assignments, and interviews to earn the title and benefits of GM. Didn't sleep for days studying and preparing for field evaluation where two administrators score you based on everything you do, say, or don't do. I was appalled when I found out that I had failed the evaluation because I was using too many fancy words or vocabulary when speaking. For the first time in my life, I felt as if i was being penalized for using words they deemed to be too complex (or they were struggling to understand). In fact, it was very difficult for me to understand the administrator at times due to their heavy accents. You will pass with flying colors if you can speak broken English and find ways to thank the company as if you owe them your life. The only thing I am grateful from my experience was learning how to say NO to your superiors' unrealistic demands. First and last job I will ever walk out on.

Pros

Great Pay Benefits Financial Stability Bonus Programs Family Feel

Cons

Although pay and benefits are great, sometimes it feels like your life should only be Panda if you're trying to move up, and if you don't think that way, you need "personal development courses". Ive been there for quite sometime, and as much as I try to keep feeling the same inspiration I felt when I first got hired and got promoted, I can't help but just feel drained. Random Mandatory meetings that run through late night hours because we can't catch a break during work hours due to tight labor budget, High stress levels because of the Ecosure audit is hailed like some GOD and god forbid you get a 99% without being looked down upon and toxic favoritism. If you take an LOA for personal mental reasons, kinda feels like they turn their back on you.... Great pay, but I dont think its worth the no life part.
