Pros

During college, I was able to work full time and go to school full time. They are fairly flexible as an employer in regards to schedule.

Cons

The hours are terrible, you have to work nearly every holiday. They removed/reduced bonuses without telling us and slowly took away freedoms. I could no longer give employees well deserved raises without regional director approval, which means I could not give them raises. I lost many employees to very mediocre companies and I would have to now say Panera is mediocre. They began cutting corners with quality several years ago.

Pros

4 work nights, 3 days off; 65% employee discount; 10 buck meal credit per shift; good health benefits

Cons

What I personally experienced, it's really easy NOT to get a bonus after being evaluated by a training lead baker; it mostly depended on their personal "likes/dislikes". Their friends/ employees consistently got bonuses though

Pros

Working with other younger people Can be fun in right environment learning about different types of food 50% off discount up to 10 dollars, but only on days worked for more than four hours and only at store worked

Cons

Management talks down to employees Poor work environment Very poor execution of duties Training is a complete joke, employees are expected to just hop right in to a very fast paced job Pay is very low for a very intense workplace Breaks are given depending on how managers are feeling that day, even if your working 9 to 10 hours straight No time to rest, must keep moving at all times in a very tiring job Bi-weekly pay and never seems to be right ( always very low hours compared to what worked ) very high employee turnover due to poor management
