Pros
Base Pay more than minimum wage 65% Discount SO many regular customers, nice to form those bonds Close relationships to coworkers Great, compassionate and philanthropic company Lots of Hours for deserving workers SUPER SUPER SUPER flexible with scheduling Friendly, fun managers and shifts Dining room/running is most enjoyable and occasionally you may get tips! Bakery Closers get to take home some leftover bakery items Variety of ages and experience when it comes to associates They understand that you have school and other priorities (I am a theatre major and they let me take off a lot even for auditions and rehearsals)
Cons
LUNCH RUSH GM can be moody, have to get on their good side Very stingy with promotions and raises Our GM is quick to criticize, it takes A LOT to get a compliment even when you bust your butt! Right off the highway, super busy lunch and dinner Bakery workers have to deal with annoying customers the most and are the first to be blamed Raises and promotions way too sparse for hardworking employees If you let them THEY WILL make you stay at least an hour after every shift you have is over Some associates are just plain lazy and lie and make excuses, don't stock, don't do anything and somehow get away with it Some customers are just RUDE RUDE RUDE and annoying
