Pros

Great name recognition, people love Panera and then state their favorite menu item. I was so excited about working for Panera because of my personal experiences as a customer and I thought this was the place for me. WRONG!

Cons

Then the nightmare began....I still work for Panera but marked down ex because I am so determined to get out of this managment experience. Even as a manager I agree with the negativity about the managment as stated in the hourly associate comments. From the start(training) it was horrible, I have never witnessed such conceited, rude behavior from a so called professional. My current store is very hetic, difficult to handle and it's known for turnover. It's really hard to explain how bad it sucks without sounding disgruntled, but please think twice before you take on this uphill managment stuggle. If your ready for a challenge, by all means....give it a whirl! Best Regards

Pros

60% discount on meals was nice. Company donates to charity and as a whole, seemed to care. Comfortable environment- was definatley the elite in fast food but such extravagance carries a heavy price on the workers.

Cons

Management is very unprofessional and was never easy to negotiate hours with. After being stung by hornets, my GM gave me a pill and told me to get back to work. I would go home at 1 A.M. due to the GM's sudden urge to have an inspection at 11 P.M. in the morning and have me scrub the toilets after I am already scheduled for opening the next morning. Shitty pay and favoritism is obvious. Management doesn't care if you stay or go and has no respect for the employee at all. You never know when you are working. Honestly the worst job i've ever had and before they hired me, I had a job working in a ditch!

Pros

This job is not for everyone but it does have advancement opportunity if you are at the right store.

Cons

Closing shift is a long day. Opening shift is alot better and goes faster. The Management team is not the best and they definitely pick favorites.
