Pros

Free drinks, get to take home food at the end of the night, usually friendly co-workers, decent training structure, mobility in positions worked

Cons

very high turnover and very low employee morale, as a closer you usually work 2+ hours after the store is closed, picking up messes that other people are too lazy to pick up. no one is disciplined for doing something wrong, people often dont show up for work with no repercussions, and you are Always understaffed, no matter what time of day

Pros

Free baked goods at the end of the night, if you're closing. No previous experience needed. They paid me slightly above state minimum wage when I worked there. No *specific* uniform, other than a hat, although there are rules: you have to wear a solid polo shirt and non-jeans pants/capris. I got some coffee experience here which led to my next job as a barista. Decent discount on food there - I think 40% or 50%.

Cons

WAY longer hours than I had been led to believe at interview. There's a very high employee turnover rate - can't say I'm surprised. Pay is dismal for the amount of work done. Physically exhausting. Scheduling was different from week to week and asking for time off was like pulling teeth - even though at the interview they told me they wanted my school activities to come first, I was given a hard time and fired shortly after taking 2 weeks off for the performances of a school play I was heavily involved in (and had been for months). I came back post-firing to collect my last paycheck, and one of the managers asked where I had gone -- not even the management communicated amongst themselves! He hadn't known I had been fired and seemed pretty annoyed that I had been.

Pros

The people that you work with and around in Muncie are great. Obviously everyone has their flaws, but overall, its a great atmosphere. I worked there for 3.5 years and was given any time off that I asked for. They did a great job working around class schedules and the managers updated their employee availability schedules in accordance with the school semesters; that way you could choose your classes and be scheduled for work around your school schedule.

Cons

There aren't too many cons to working at Panera Bread. Just like any fast food company, go in knowing that the likely hood of professional advancement is near nill. You will have your co workers that talk about you behind your back, b.s. politcs, power hungry managers, but none of those things are any worse or any different that what you would typically find at any job setting.
