Pros

Culture is amazing. Complete transparency about company financials, compensation, performance reviews. Unlimited growth potential and promotion opportunities available every year. If you grow leadership will find you new opportunities to challenge you and stretch you as a person. Fair and balanced reviews with actionable improvement and mentors will help you achieve your goals. Excellent mentoring structure built into your manager's and mentor's reviews. Benefits are all included free. CEO actually cares about you, who else would go on a 3 hour rant about why managed funds are bad returns for your 401k and provide statistics to back it up for you. Generalist technology approach, everyone is encouraged to learn everything.

Cons

Pay discrepancy between major metropolitan CoLA adjustment vs everyone else in other offices, this may have been fixed. In metropolitan areas the compensation package is not quite as fantastic as it is in Texas. Could be a higher focus on technical skills to improve the caliber of consultants running around. Pariveda consultants can easily match any of the major consulting firms, but there's definitely room for improvement technically.

Pros

From the executive team to the project team in the field, Pariveda focuses on developing the individual while serving the client. Your team is full of smart, knowledgeable, and competent people who will help you learn and grow while you work. You follow a well-defined career path, with opportunities to advance annually. These opportunities are based on individual performance; you are never pitted against your peers for advancement. You are assigned a mentor whose job is to guide you as you grow your career, and advocate for you if you have an issue. Your mentor regularly collects feedback from your peers and managers, and you receive a formal evaluation every six months. Complete transparency of salaries across the firm ensures that you are compensated fairly for your work. Paid health benefits, PTO including maternity and paternity leave, and 401(k) matching make you feel comfortable and supported. Management is open and interested in what anyone has to say, and are receptive to feedback.

Cons

You won't always be staffed on a glamorous project; someone has to write the boring code too. It's possible to get pigeon-holed as the person who knows a lot about a particular technology and thus gets staffed on those projects, so you need to make sure that you are exposed to new and different things if you aren't getting it at work.

Pros

Employee owned which all participate in. Consultants are actually developed, not just grinded out, or used for their expertise. No terrible stack ranking systems or arbitrary quotas for promotions like other consulting shops. No offshore work to redo at 2am. People are humble; arrogance is not tolerated.

Cons

You will be forced to develop your skills; you can't just be an expert at one subject. The company values generalists. This could be a con for some people just looking to specialize.
