Pros

I definitely feel like I've been able to grow more in my career than I would have at another company. The level of transparency and consideration for each employee is refreshing.

Cons

As the career path is very well defined, it can be tricky for people who want their careers to grow into something different. That being said, it can be done, and there are plenty of examples of people who have followed a slightly different path.

Career growth to a (near) science.

Pros

I joined with the expectation I would meet specific career milestones within a certain period of time, and that is exactly what has happened. The opportunities I've had at Pariveda have given my career an incredible boost with respect to my peers. This is all made possibly by Pariveda's commitment to developing people to their full potential (which is supported by processes meant to bring transparency to growth areas). I've worked with people in several offices and hands down the best part of Pariveda are the people (which we refer to as Fins). Pariveda consistently hires bright and motivated people (often times young and fun too) across all offices, which helps maintain a culture that is truly unique to Pariveda. Work-life balance is something that I've had very-little challenge maintaining at Pariveda. Unlike friends at the "big-4" firms, where careers also get propelled at the expense of burning people out, me and my teams are not being beaten down by unrelenting 60 to 80 hour weeks (which are the norm at those firms). There are weeks that may require extra hours, but they are the exception, not the rule. This has afforded me the opportunity to experience a lot more in life.

Cons

Commutes can be rough, depending on clients, but leadership is sensitive to this and will work to accommodate those teammates. Very focused on growth and ownership, meaning that budget sometimes leans more towards growing new markets and buying back ESOP shares. This sometimes gives the impression that Pariveda does not put enough money towards employee perks like jackets or happy hours (granted, salaries and benefits are great).

Great Place to Grow

Pros

Invests in employees' health, happiness, and growth Opportunity for promotion every year, well defined path to get promotion Interesting work and enjoyable supportive coworkers Focus on relationship building across corporate levels Generally great work-life balance (depends on the project, time of year, level in the company) Usually local (city-wide) clients (may have to ship out to another office)

Cons

Hard to gauge commutes and where you should live - instead of choosing an apartment/house location near an airport, you'll need to be central and expect a daily commute to any client
