Company Culture is Amazing

Pros

The company management really puts their employees first rather than profits. When COVID started to spread earlier in early march, we were told to start working remotely because they were concerned about our physical health and ensure that all of us were safe. Furthermore, they also check up on our happiness and well-being on client project to ensure that we enjoy the project we currently on. They also have plans to help you progress through you careers and gain skillsets that allow you to move onto higher roles within the company. They want you to be able develop your skillsets and give you lots of opportunity to grow. Everyone is super nice and supportive of each other. You can talk to the Vice President as if they were your level and that they will make time for you especially with their busy schedules. Traveling is usually kept to a 10% maximum within the company. This means that you won't have to travel often when having client project that are not local.

Cons

- Lower salary than other software development companies, but definitely on the higher end of many Technical consultant firms. - No bonuses

Pros

Great family environment. Small enough where you feel like you are making an impact, yet big enough where you feel like you are getting the needed support. Great work life balance. Lots of exposure to different technologies. Full transparency throughout the company. Heavily invested in their employees growth.

Cons

Pay is a bit below average as a software engineer for certain parts of the country.

Pros

- Extremely transparent Transparency about salaries, promotions, diversity and inclusion, hiring, really anything you can think about - Transparency is consistent across all levels You know what any person in the company makes and there is excellent transparency from C level execs: CEO, CFO, CIO - The people This is a term that's often thrown around, but Pariveda really delivers here. Almost everyone that I've worked with has been top notch, extremely friendly, helpful, and honestly just generally good people. - Ability to grow The career path is one of the best benefits. I've grown both personally and professionally in huge strides, and both the culture and promotion process highly encourage it. This is not an overstatement, but I would have grown to be the person I am today without Pariveda. - Integrity of C level execs The way that COVID was handled was beyond impressive. The way that they handled both job security, economic downturn, remote work, and physical and mental safety cannot be understated. I'm extremely grateful to be working for the company especially right now. - Support of mental health There is a extreme level of support both in the HR department and in individuals that you talk to about mental health.

Cons

- Staffing misalignment Because staffing is done based on availability and skills mainly, there is a chance of being staffed on projects in locations that require longer commutes, in technologies that aren't your preference, or in positions that don't always align with your career path. - Imposture syndrome is extremely high in the company As I said before almost everyone you work with is stellar and this can be defined in many flexible ways - great delivery, great leader, great team player, etc. Unfortunately because of this stellar component, there is a very strong case of imposture syndrome that persists in the culture where you're not going above and beyond. - Toxic positivity especially in leadership There is often a culture of having a positive spin on tough situations and projects without the addressal of the problem and empathy of things are tough. Lots of leadership's first response is either to go into solving mode or to respond that it was a good learning opportunity which creates an environment where people feel like they're not heard. This also further amplifies the problem of the imposture syndrome.
