Pros

- Very structured career growth trajectory, equal opportuntiy for promotions based on tenure at each position, lot's of time and focus spent on mentoring others and ensuring there are growth opportunities at clients and good performance feedback loops. - Transperent pay, same pay for same job title regardless of time spent at the previous position. - Consulting in general provides you lots of opportunity to get exposed to different tech stacks at various clients and business knowledge that you might not otherwise get working in a specific industry. - Generally great people at this company, the culture is very geared towards growing together and helping eachother out.

Cons

- Work life balance will be a struggle, you are expected to work 40 hours for your client at minimum which can increase based on the demands of the project and client. In addition to client work you are required to spend additional hours volunteering and contributing to internal company goals like participating in performance reviews. I felt like the higher I went up the more hours I had to work, towards the end of my time at Pariveda I was regularly working 60 hour weeks. - Some of the pros of consulting also can be cons, for example you get lots of experience in different tech stacks and clients which is great but it requires you to frequently be out of your comfort zone each time you switch projects and you'll constantly be learning and researching to keep up, which does not contribute to your 40 hour client minimum. - You will feel pressured to perform at your best so that your company reflects well to the client and you can get additonal work, this sometimes means you will have to work additional hours to ensure project deadlines are met and fires are extinguished if something unexpected occurs. - You will also feel pressure to move up in the company and sitting at one position is unspokenly frowned upon, and there are no pay-increases aside from job title promotions. When I was an employee there was only one career trajectory Developer -> Manager -> Sales so if your career goals don't align with that be prepared, There were talks of changing that before I left so there might be more paths now.

They seem to be invested in employee growth, but please advocate for yourself because you can and will get lost in the sauce

Cons

Poor leadership that led to multiple rounds of layoffs, not transparent in reviews.
