Pros

PTO and benefits packages are excellent. Pay was decent, but stagnated in 2019.

Cons

The culture at this company is obnoxious at best and outright discriminatory at worst. On a good day, all you have to deal with is listening to loud political discussions and conspiracy theories. HR is practically nonexistent, not because they are bad at their job but because nobody actually respects what is and isn't appropriate in a work setting. Management has either no desire or no idea how to follow even the most basic workplace behavior guidelines and completely disregards federal laws they happen to disagree with. After being called a homophobic slur for the second time in one week by the same colleague, I spoke with my boss, the current COO of the company, and simply asked him to say something to the colleague. It didn't need to be disciplinary, I was being as non-confrontational as possible, and ended up having to argue with him for 25 minutes. Finally, he agreed to say something to said colleague, but only after I had to out myself to get him to listen. I also had disability accommodations through the Americans with Disabilities Act, after going through the company's process. Immediately after the accommodations were recognized, the same COO gave me a list of conditions under which I was allowed to use them. 90 days later, I still hadn't received the tools needed to use my accommodations. I sent him an email asking for an update; his response was to call me into his office the next morning and yell in my face for 45 minutes, listing off all the ways I make him angry, telling me he "doesn't give a F about the ADA," and admitting that he had been obstructing me getting what was required by law (a $500 computer part.) This pattern continued over the following year. Most recently, I was told I may not use my accommodations at all for a 2-week period in September while he was on PTO, and was given warnings when I did, even after speaking with HR who told me to disregard his unlawful request. He also planned a company social event which I would have been barred from attending for using my disability accommodations. As of my last day, I still did not have everything I needed to perform my full job function while using my accommodations. Beyond everything mentioned here, the company is a sinking ship. They lie to both clients and employees. There was no transparency; there would be changes in the product that resulted in my having to redo work constantly, which could have been avoided if anyone communicated product changes.
