Great place to work if you don't like making enough money to survive.

Pros

Great work environment, co-workers are wonderful people, good medical benefits (if you are single).

Cons

The pay is extremely bad. Upper management is completely out of touch with reality. Upper management actually told us in a meeting that we work for the County because of civil duty and life isn't fair. If that is the case how come you make $170,000 and get a car and house allowance.

Pros

great benefits including paid health insurance, several holidays paid off per year, in-house training, promotional opportunities

Cons

There are a lot of obstacles to overcome with the budget crisis and the philosophy to "hire the best". A lot of employees are disgruntled by the hiring process and the amount of people who are hired from the outside.
