Pros

Great people to work with. Ball hockey court on premises.

Cons

The company is attached to the oil sector, so it is affected by the boom, bust cycle.

Pros

BBQ, bear event. The group benefit is really good.

Cons

Old technical stack. Management only cares about themselves. Employees are considered worthless. You have to kiss up to your leader badly to survive rather than make things done.

Pros

Really good benefits Lots of corporate events to take part in Lots of good people to build relationships with Weekly scheduled yoga and cadio classes happen on-site, aside from other paid-for or partially paid-for activities such as ball hockey, soccer, indoor rock climbing. A recent re-org in one of the teams meant that some positive changes were made, but it might be a while before they become fruitful. Newly added Tranquillity rooms are an interesting addition.

Cons

Some departments have serious problems. Lots of attrition given the health of the Calgarian software development industry. No CTO, so no overall direction and cohesion between the EDR and DataHub teams. If you don't follow the culture of the team you're on, there's a good chance that you won't be around for long.
