Improving!

Pros

In the past couple of years (or in some cases months), the company has been improving on: - Valuing employees as much as clients, developing client retention methods that don't work low-level employees to the bone - Transparency from management - Prioritizing raises and bonuses over cheaper, more flashy benefits - Training new hires - Hiring with our rate of growth - Desegregated hiring - The Client Admin team, which is now beautifully managed And consistently, since I began: - Flexible scheduling and work-from-home policy - Warm, friendly atmosphere - Good benefits Multiple former employees have returned, which, considering the cons below, gives you an idea of the overall environment.

Cons

- Salaries are far below industry average; you must relentlessly negotiate from day one to get halfway-decent pay, and/or work from home in a town with a lower median income - "Entry-level" positions just aren't - A few other departments could take a lesson from Client Admin re: proper management

Pros

- Warm, friendly, nuturing office culture - Manager truly cares about the staff she supervises - Most of the staff are artists or come from an art background - Flexible shifts and remote/on-site hybrid office - Generally good-natured clients (art directors, box office staff, often skews older) - Supportive community (staff watch out for each other even when people make mistakes or a client is particularly rude/demanding) - Opportunity to learn useful arts admin skills - Strong product

Cons

- Quick turn around of staff as most are artists looking for a flexible but stable day job - Pay is entry-level, but after training, skill level is definitely not

A good place to start a career in Salesforce

Pros

The people at Patron Technology are generally great colleagues. Many form deep personal relationships with each other. Employees frequently gather outside work to spend time together. The clients are varied across a number of industries and for the most part they are easy to work with. Their use of Salesforce as a platform is simple and easy to grasp, so they are a good place to get a handle on the platform at the beginning of a career.

Cons

Salaries are typically below industry standards for a Salesforce partner company. Work hours are inconsistent depending on your department and individual workload. Some folks get in and out on the 9-6 schedule, but many can be seen pulling overtime on a regular basis.
