Pros

- easy to get hired on all levels expect management - they don't expect much in terms of experience, knowledge or work effort

Cons

- salary below standard - management is a prime example of failing upwards Unlike what is published officially most work (case and risk reviews) is actually done in China nowadays, which means that at least the European offices don't really have to do much other than being present. Most departments touch significantly below 1% of the problems that arise in their specific market. On the other hand over 99% of all workflow gets outsourced to companies in Tunisia, the Philippines and China. At the same time the Managing Directors tour all around Europe and receive prizes for creating underpaid jobs.. This company is actually a Luxembourg registered bank, at the same time it is unbelievable how much sensitive customer information is lost through their outsourcing activities. I was using the service before, but since working there would never trust them with my personal information again. If you are looking for a easy and unchallenging job and can life with the fact that its quiet badly paid this might be a good company for you. Its actually the perfect company for students, better than working as a waiter anyway. However be prepared for some travel time, in Europe most offices they rent are in the middle of nowhere..

Pros

Great people oriented corporate culture across eBay...top management at eBay really cares about career development, diversity, open and honest culture Work life balance generally good, with flexible work from home culture (ok to phone in especially given the sprawling global employes presence across most teams...though that means APAC and EMEA hours in the workday) Investors see paypal as a "hot" company with a lot of runway potential ahead, albeit in a highly competitive field

Cons

Still building processes of a smoothly oiled mature company, though has been an incredibly fast learning org over the past few years Performance assessment process has gotten broadly mixed reviews, so is being revamped
