      as with any large company, there are ups and downs, but overall it's a great place to work

      Pros

      successful ("up and to the right") division of eBay, good opportunities for those with ambition. politics are not too bad, and the majority of people want to do the right thing.

      Cons

      long hours, excessive demands in some areas of the company. often feels like paypal is still the tail being wagged by the dog (ebay), even though paypal, as most successful area of company, should have more say in decisions, and more funding.

      Pros

      When I started it was one of the best places, they say you will move up in the company. Don't stay in a position too long because you will be stuck there. Insurance is good though.

      Cons

      Communication is non-existent. If you are one of the hard workers you don't get looked at as something good, you get looked at as doing something bad.

      Pros

      Having PayPal on your resume opens doors, and some fine people work there. Good if you do want to work hard in terms of effort but do not want to work too hard in terms of being innovative, creative, and exciting.

      Cons

      Remarkably entrenched in conventional organizational concepts for a company of this caliber, and remarkably slow to move to innovate, preferring instead to maintain the existing status quo because of the businesses growth rates.
