Pros

Learning Opportunity: You learn a lot about Fintech quickly, which can be a valuable experience for your career. Talented Team: There are really smart and talented people at PayPal, making collaboration both inspiring and educational. Potential for Growth: There is opportunity at PayPal if leadership can get ahold of the reins and provide clear direction.

Cons

Leadership Challenges: There is a noticeable lack of clear vision and direction from upper management, which can lead to confusion and misalignment within teams. Work-Life Balance: The expectation to be available around the clock is taxing and can lead to burnout. There is a significant need for better work-life balance policies. Limited Career Growth: Opportunities for career advancement can be sparse and seem to favor a select few, rather than being based on merit and performance. Bureaucratic Processes: Decision-making can be slow and hindered by unnecessary bureaucratic processes, affecting productivity and morale. Not an Innovative Environment: Despite its reputation, PayPal does not foster an innovative environment, which can be disappointing for those looking to push boundaries in tech. Non-Competitive Compensation: The salary and benefits package is not as competitive as other companies in the tech industry, which can be a drawback for many professionals.

Pros

You'll work with some genuinely great people, and the brand has long-standing footing in the fintech space

Cons

A new leadership team that over-promises and under-delivers, and has brought out unproductive and hyper-political behaviors. Layoffs and forced attrition. Poor strategic decision making. A lot of taglines and wallpaper fodder.

Pros

Benefits, good pay and bonus structure. Quarterly vest.

Cons

Too many to list: leadership is toxic and leads with fear and intimidation, tools are broken but no one cares to fix them, completely disorganized organization with a lack of intelligence, leadership and technical innovation. If you want to be happy, work somewhere else.
