Pros

It is great working for a company that is growing and has a caring culture. This is a great place to work and grow. I have had great opportunities throughout my career to go into different areas. I have experienced a lot of development opportunities. The co-workers are great, best part of the job. Great ethical and caring company.

Cons

There really isn't anything I don't like about Paychex. It is a great culture and the people are the best.

Pros

Some of the best things about working here are the ability to consistently evaluate where I am currently at and do I need to challenge myself more, both personally and professionally. The office culture is positive and motivating. Management is all about encouraging you to reach your best and be successful. The benefits overall are great with lots of opportunity. The senior management staff is supportive and encouraging.

Cons

As a supervisor, I have experienced more demands lately in terms of work-life balance. As more expectations are placed upon you, you have to evaluate your own situation to make sure you have an appropriate balance. As the department grows, my fear is communication breaking down and the importance to evaluate this regularly. Compensation for my position should be re-evaluated from time to time due to the demands and expectations.

Pros

Work-Life Balance is nice. Managers value your right to have time for your personal life. Unless you seek such jobs, work ends at 5/6pm and you don't need to worry about work until the next morning. No work to do from home or anything like that. Opportunities are abundant. With the size of the organization, there are opportunities to go where you desire. Even if you take a job you aren't thrilled with to get in with the company, most jobs ask for a 12-18 month commitment and then you can post for promotions and other opportunities. During your commitment, you are encouraged to explore and get familiar with other roles in the organization and are encouraged to also work on your own personal development. Steady employment. Despite economic troubles in our country the past many years, Paychex has still grown.

Cons

Pay is at market for entry level positions. Earning above market does not come until you have performed well or received promotions into other roles.
