Pros

Quality People Excellent Benefits Flexible Hours / Flex Schedule Top Notch Training - As long as you have a Customer Service background Paychex will teach you everything you need to know about payroll. I was lucky - during my employment there were 2 branch managers - both of which are quality people and the management team were also top notch.

Cons

Sometimes can be a little overwhelming -- clients tend to 'pass the buck' when their payroll isn't correct. Too many meetings - there are times when the best thing for the Payroll Specialists is to let them do their jobs - too many meetings can sometimes put the specialists behind and then they are forced to play catch up the entire morning/day. Extremely stressful - it's not like your ordering a pizza and instead of extra cheese you get pepperoni - you are working with peoples money - many of which are small mom and pop businesses and they cannot afford any mistakes.

Pros

outside sales, good training, recruiters love sales people from Paychex

Cons

extremely cliquey, encouraged not to take PTO (threatened if you do), pay is ok but not the greatest. micromanagement. Favortism is definitely played. No room for growth.

Pros

The company has changed a lot in recent years. They still have a reputation as being very stiff and stuffy - strict dress code, clean desk policies, etc. It has loosened a lot. In IT, the dress code allows jeans - not quite the 3 piece suit of yesteryear.

Cons

The culture is very process heavy, and there can be roadblocks to productivity. The positive side is they know it, and are trying to address it.
