Pros

We have lots of fun. Dress up days, homemade boat races, pot lucks, etc. The employees there are a really nice bunch of people to work for. They really are. Denver has beautiful weather. It is a great place to work. The team really works hard together to reach our goals. They offer the sales reps a chance to go to Conference, Circle and Ice each year. The location is located in Hawaii and the Bahamas. They are off to the Bahamas this year.

Cons

It's far away from everything, near the airport. No chance for overtime. No where to go up, unless I want to be in sales. I think the support team should be aloud to go to Conference as well. The DSM goes if the team is over quota but the FSS does not.

Pros

Highly respected company. Paychex is in a terrific industry, has great people and products, is extremely sound financially, has no debt and is very profitable and cashflow positive. We have the best client satisfaction in the industry and the largest share of clients. The culture is very professional and friendly. Employees opinions are valued and everyone is treated with respect. There are great training programs (at hire and on-going) and very good benefits. Great place to work.

Cons

The company is headquartered in Rochester and 3000 of the 12,000 jobs are in Rochester, including most of the senior management jobs. It's a very nice small city with very low cost housing and below average cost of living, but Rochester isn't for everyone.

Toxic politics everywhere

Business Outlook

Pros

Hybrid is the only benifit.

Cons

Utterly toxic politics everywhere—supervisors strut around like they're the damn CEO, overriding decisions, playing favorites, and killing any chance of real work getting done. [E.g., "My project got axed because the supervisor's buddy wanted the credit."] HR? A complete joke—they exist only on paper, ignore every email/ticket for weeks (or forever), and sleep through crises like mass resignations. [E.g., "Reported harassment 3 times—no response, just crickets."] Conclusion: What started as a "product-based" company has crashed into a pathetic small-scale garments nightmare: endless delays, zero growth, and employees treated like disposable labor. Run—don't walk—away. Pure regret
