Pros

They don't require a college degree or any experience

Cons

They will hire almost anyone to make cold calls for them. They tell you during the interview process that you will be promoted after one year of cold calling. This is partially true, but the position they 'promote' you to is usually just customer service with a $1 per hour raise. If that. On top of this, they require that you have a sales quota each month. This is frustrating because you are only setting up appointments for sales reps, rather than making the sales pitch yourself. In my time there, I set up over 100 appointments for sales reps, and maybe completed 1 or 2 sales. I was then blamed for not making sales, and punished by management as a result.

Pros

Great way to get your foot in the door. Most places require experience, yet most SDR/BDR/Inside Sales Support Roles are starter jobs by default. Paychex is also a leader in their services, if not, -the- leader. So it helps you earn appointments even if you've never done this before and it'll help your career starting with a powerful name on your resume.

Cons

13.25 an hour for 150 dials and 5 appointments is beyond morally bankrupt. You can make more working at Target stocking shelves. Also, for a company that helps companies get their employees cheaper healthcare options, 50 dollars for their cheapest plan internally per paycheck on 13.25 an hour is insane. They'll purposely put a carrot on the stick of a "promotion" after a year, which is actually just moving into a different role. They do this purposely knowing that the churn cycle of SDRs on average is 12-18 months in sales. While their training is enthusiastic, they teach you old school sales tactics that are dated cliches assuring your not-interested rate being high.

Pros

Benefits, PTO Policy, 1st year compensation plan is very good if you perform!

Cons

Immediate management is extremely demanding, and leads by fear.
