Pros

Pay was good and my coworkers were great

Cons

You get screamed at and called names by the clients daily. Most management is too busy to even care about how crazy your work load is. If you start to fall behind it is incredibly hard to catch back up. Id often have to stay late or work while I was suppose to be on lunch.

Pros

Hard work is rewarded. Most positions I've held elsewhere could not keep up with my drive to improve. Paychex recognizes effort, which drives me to do more, both for myself and the company. Pay is good, benefits are great, and the culture of the office is incredible.

Cons

If your goal is to clock in, clock out, and collect your check, Paychex is not for you. The benefits of the position don't negate the fact that the work itself is incredibly challenging. Paychex invests incredibly well in stress management resources (i.e. work/life balance), but that doesn't mean the work is stress-free. It's the nature of the beast, but if you're prepared for it, I can't think of a better company to work with.

Pros

Great compensation plan. Good Training and benefits resources.

Cons

Mid-Management is hit or miss. Some are amazing managers while others are not qualified to manage a 7-11 store. There is more travel than you would think - mostly for training events and corporate announcements, lots of driving time for sales team, Very Long hours, less flexibility than your other sales gig had, culture of "get it done, or else!"

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. While we're happy to hear that your comp, training, and benefits have met your expectations, your feedback on leadership is disappointing and we'd like an opportunity to discuss with you. We'd like to invite you to contact your HRBP to discuss your concerns in more detail so we can resolve. They can be reached at employee_relations@paychex.com. Thank you.
