Pros

Decent Benefits. Every once in a while you run into a talented person, but the bummer is that they don’t tend to stay long with the organization.

Cons

Horrible stale executive leadership. Sales and product leadership has the biggest gaps.

H+B Sales Rep - Good Benefits, Decent People, Worse Job

Pros

Benefits mainly paid for, free coffee, nice office building, big desk, a lot of workers from Rochester so you should know some friends there. Management wants you to be successful if they like you. Some good and friendly people.

Cons

Customers are growing unhappy with their Payroll at Paychex making H+B calling on existing clients a much harder sell. Work groups and teams can be in cliques so make sure you either kiss butt or get along with your team, salary is low for industry, Nobody there really likes calling clients on phones every day so there can be negative cube farm repetitive vibe, Commission is also pretty low. Most people here know they can do better and Paychex is stepping stone. Would not recommend for anyone beyond 2 years post college. Definitely not any position here besides Manager worth being too excited about. Plenty of gossip and complaints between workers.

Pros

Coworkers are awesome. Good hours, no weekends. Good location for half hpur lunches.

Cons

350 or more clients with 1-250 employees to run payroll for, unrealistic time frames, you not only run payroll, but you manage the whole entire account. Management is never around to help! They care more about clients than they do their employees. If you are on a call there is no-one to help you stay caught up, because everyone is stretched so thin. If you make a decision management goes behind you and changes the decision and bad mouths you to the client. They say they are not a call center, but they run it like a call center there are stats for everything you do. No room for advancement.
