Pros

Growing company with good long term vision. Good people & culture, fair starting pay and benefits, virtual first work style creates amazing flexibility to manage work/life balance.

Cons

Growing company means growing pains so don't expect perfection. Requires some patience and open communications. Paid holidays are a bit skimpy. Virtual first work style is great for work/life balance but like most companies during COVID times, it's hard to interject fun with entire company working remote.

Pros

Upstart with lot of potential. Consists of some very talented team-mates with good skillset and working knowledge of their specific environments.

Cons

Some groups are led by few very long-tenured members who lack necessary leadership qualities. Their poor leadership skills including lack of good people management will slowly drive talented people away from this firm. Some of so called Leaders make decisions without prior team engagement resulting in discontent and impact to personal work and life balance. Have a clear roles and responsibilities for each resource. In order to maximize the talented pool of resources based on their skill suite, each resource should have this specific habit of using others to get their work done. Disconnect between various groups - A few groups operate in silo without working and coordinating together. This has resulted in confusion and incorrect set of expectations and goals from top-down to talented group of resources including developers. Finally, some teams and associated management do not bother or consider your opinion on why you wanted to leave if you do decide to leave making you feel validated in your decision to leave the firm. Assurances and word from leaders to address issues should be acted appropriately and in a timely fashion.

Great Community!

Pros

Paycor continues to foster a community feel by taking the time and effort to take care of their employees by hosting all associate events connecting all of their offices (Cincinnati, Dallas, Fort Collins, San Francisco, Kansas City, Jacksonville), encouraging employees to participate in community events through their community partners program, and celebrating employee achievements and work anniversaries. At Paycor there are a variety of ways you can get involved both personally and professionally, from training for the Flying Pig half marathon or taking on a new project. As someone who is new to their career, Paycor has allowed me the opportunity to learn about my strengths and work on my weaknesses. I've been able to take on projects that interest me and continue to be encouraged to get out of my comfort zone.

Cons

As Paycor continues to unify their software, they also continue to improve the unification of their offices. Due to their rapid growth, this is challenging but they continue to make strides in the right direction.
