Pros

Lunch is provided on Thursdays

Cons

They will lie to you during recruitment, here are just a few things I was told during recruitment that were not true: Great company culture. There is zero company culture, in fact most people keep their heads down and choose not to talk to one another other than the few people on their team. Company events, perks, fun are non existent. Competitive Salary. Lowest Ive seen in the Boise software industry. Floating Holidays. There are none but told there were. Dress Code. Told it is a casual work environment where expression is encouraged. This is a lie and the dress code is constantly getting stricter. No Mandatory Overtime. Many months with mandatory Overtime with PTO blackouts, manly around the holidays. Work Life Balance. There is none. Hybrid work options. Took those away from everyone but management. On top of all this you have only 10 minutes combine a day to use the restrooms. Every second of your day is micromanaged by multiple people.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience didn’t align with what was communicated during the recruitment process, as that’s not the culture we strive to uphold. We take concerns around transparency, workload, and overall environment seriously, and your perspective highlights areas where we need to reflect and improve. If you're open to it, we encourage continued dialogue with your leadership team as your feedback is an important part of shaping a stronger workplace.

Pros

-I met some really great colleagues that are now friends.

Cons

-Incompetent leadership. 3 managers in a 10 month span. -Paychex culture all over again. It’s not who you know it’s how you know them. Hired majority of Paychex leaders in the Rochester area and brought the lovely Paychex culture with them. Lies in the recruitment process. I’m glad to see they are now labeling it as a call center environment. During the recruiting process it was heard from the recruiter, and Director that the role would be 7-10 clients. Minimal queue work. However the role is 20+ clients. In the call queue all day. And god forbid you are a minute late for lunch because you will definitely hear about it! Also word to the wise… Don’t bring anything of value to your desk, management will ship it back broke. Upon getting fired.

Thank you for sharing your experience, your feedback means a lot. It’s great to hear that you have formed friendships with your fellow colleagues. At Paylocity, we’re committed to creating a culture where employees feel supported, informed, and empowered to do their best work. We recognize that leadership changes can be challenging, and we take concerns about consistency and transparency seriously. We also understand how important a respectful, supportive work environment is, including how employees’ personal belongings are treated. The experience you described is not in line with the culture we strive to maintain, and feedback like yours is a reminder of where we still have work to do. Thanks again for the honest feedback. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter!
