Pros

Really cool offices. You can make a lot of money if you’re in a good territory and if you have a good manager.

Cons

Working here was literally the most miserable time period of my career. Don’t let them fool you into thinking this is a “software” company. Paylocity is really a payroll company with some glitter sprinkled on top. Nothing special here.

We are sorry to hear you believe Paylocity is no longer the same company it was in the early years. As we continue to grow, we have many hurdles, and we do our best to respond to the them in the best way possible. As a company our philosophy has always been around Paylocity being regarded as a family and as a family we refer others in our network that we think would be great additions. In fact 40% of our hires come from referrals. Referrals are a great source of talent, and as such tend to bring people back together who have worked together previously. We wish all of our employees the best if they choose to move on from Paylocity, and ask that if you have specific feedback to share to know we are always looking to improve and would love to hear it. Please email KGrimaldi@Paylocity.com with any feedback you wish to share.

Overhyped

Pros

Free (bad) coffee, sad-looking fruit

Cons

No policy in place for maternity leave. Overall pay is not reflective of the amount of on-the-job testing/training required. Employees required to come into office for tasks that could easily be done at home. Management is slow to implement changes that positively impact employees. Likes to think of itself as an modern employee-centric software company, reality begs to differ.
