Not worth it

Pros

There are zero pros for working here in 2025. I will say there used to be many pros but that’s irrelevant now.

Cons

No work life balance, broken promises, leadership will use you as a scapegoat if they can get away with it. No real support from anyone. Low wages, micromanaging, incompetence, greedy CEO.

5 day mandatory RTO

Pros

Used to be remote company. Maybe a good first job to get your foot in door to corporate

Cons

Mandatory 5 day RTO within 50 miles implemented when company was remote pre- covid. Poorly communicated the need for change, did not offer flexibility when several employees were hired remote to begin with. Has a product called "employee voice" but did not take into consideration their employees voice when making sweeping changes to company culture, schedule, etc. Pay is minimal in operations. Have seen many other companies pay better for same job. Company felt ahead of its time, progressive and interesting. Now it appears to be pivoting back in time to old school controlling corporate culture.

We’re glad to hear you found value in starting your career with Paylocity! Many of our team members begin their journey here and grow into new opportunities across the organization, and we’re proud to be a place where that growth is possible. We also hear your concerns and understand that changes to our in-office policy have been challenging for some employees, especially those who joined the company remotely. This decision was made thoughtfully, recognizing that in-person collaboration plays a critical role in strengthening team connections, improving client experiences, and supporting career development. That said, we know transitions like this aren’t always easy, and we’re committed to supporting our teams as we navigate this shift together. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to have ongoing conversations with your leader about any questions or feedback you may have. Regarding compensation and transparency, we continuously evaluate our pay practices and benefits to ensure they’re competitive and aligned with our values. We are actively listening and always looking for ways to improve how we support and appreciate our employees. Your voice matters, and we encourage you to continue the conversation with your leader or People Relations Partner for additional support.
