Pros

Peabody is a strong company that has survived economic commodity swings for over 130 years. Management has developed a plan to ensure Peabody is sustainable for more years to come. Job security is not a concern.

Cons

Though Peabody offers opportunities for advancement, it is challenging to take advantage of cross-functional opportunities.

Pros

Peabody has a talented workforce and gives you the opportunity to work on new and innovative projects. Company offers a competitive salary and generous time off package compared to other companies in area. Peabody places a strong importance on safety - whether in the corporate office environment or the operations. That makes you feel safe going to work each day. You get to work with a lot of great individuals who care about putting out a successful product. Members of the executive leadership team are very transparent and keep employees informed on business matters in a timely manner. You really get to touch many aspects of the business - even in a starting role. Company recently implemented pilot program of redistributed summer hours where employees may leave as early as noon on Fridays during the summer if work is completed. It was a great perk and helped with work-life balance. Work extra hours to get your work done Monday-Thursday and enjoy an afternoon off at the end of the week.

Cons

Employees juggle quite a bit of work so if you aren't good with time management, you can feel as though you are continually behind.

Pros

Many of the people at the operations.

Cons

Short-term decision making by executive management. Focus on personal gains rather than the company. Actual decision making is not congruent with stated culture/values.
