Poor Management of Behavioral Health in Lane COunty

They have a wide array of services and a nice facility.

Cons

Behavioral health leadership has really went downhill this past couple years. It feels like the compassion is gone and its all about business and numbers. Especially in the inpatient unit "Johnson Unit", where they have taken a HUGE step backwards in care quality since changing leadership. A lot of experienced mental health professionals have left and went to other agencies because of this. If you want to work there, I would suggest holding out and looking for a company with more of a an atmosphere of service.

At Peace Harbor Hospital I worked with an exceptionally caring, hardworking and skilled group of caregivers. I watched them work together, overcoming all sorts of adversity which is innate in modern healthcare.

Cons

Wages and benefits in the Western Oregon marketplace are severely depressed compared to other locations throughout the U.S.
