Great Place to Work with Growth Opportunities

Pros

Peak is a great place to work, with plenty of opportunity for internal growth. Management supports employees and facilitates growth. The business cares about employees and ultimately wants them to be successful!

Cons

Senior management, including the President, are able to address any issues or concerns brought to their attention, so traditional "cons" seem to be resolved or discussed reasonably with the employee.

Poor place for employment

Pros

Growing company with plenty of potential run by an individual who came right out of collage and never worked in the field.

Cons

Good health insurance but terribly expensive ($700 for 2 young people) terrible PTO accumulation ( less than 30 hours for 6 months of work ) w/ 6 holidays Management is new to management and dose not know how to interact with there employees. they act like a friend and tell on you like a rat. management talks down about the company, upper management and things that should change but wont stand up for themselves or others Hire you for one title and make you do nonsensical work that can be done through different avenues of technology tell you your input is important but push you aside when your input has to do with change talk down to you when challenging there policies and procedures, and they have a sense of upper class when talking with employees they underpay there back bone of the company (installers) when at corporate racial slurs were used during my training process there products and services are portrayed as if they give such a superior product and its not. most of what they do is overestimate what is needed to make the most money because there services are limited to basically them. there inspection service is expensive because they don't want to change there report generating services (which they charge by the hour i have seen 400 hours and 6 months to generate on one project) and can be substituted for different type of technology. all in all a money hungry business who will back stab you, kick you out the door and call the police before you can gather your things (literally what happened to me)

Peak Fall Protection Response

Peak Fall Protection appreciates reviews of all perspectives and welcomes the opportunity to respond. We take pride in our ability to deliver excellent customer service to our clients, which is made possible through supporting our dedicated team of installation and operations staff. We are dedicated to growing our management staff, and senior management provides regular training and guidance to project managers, superintendents, and lead technicians to enhance and grow their leadership skills. Our company is focused on employee growth, as a company cannot grow without the growth of its employees. Each employee has something unique to offer, and we try to foster growth in line with employee strengths and weaknesses. Growth does take time, and self-motivation and determination are qualities that will facilitate that growth at most companies, including ours. Management has an open door policy, and welcomes feedback and opportunities to assist employee growth as well as the growth of company, and carefully evaluates employee suggestions in regards to practicality, feasibility, and opportunity cost. As with any growing company, we strive to regularly evaluate our compensation and benefits package that are offered to employees, and to identify areas where we can improve as an employer to attract and retain qualified talent. In recent years, we have made several improvements to our benefits package and plan to continue to do so. Paid time off is typically determined and increased based an employee’s tenure with the company. Peak offers competitive compensation packages to all employees, including installation and support staff, where growth in compensation is directly associated with an employee’s contributions. This includes the employee’s tenure with the company, productivity, skillsets and experience, flexibility, and overall attitude and determination to deliver exceptional products and customer service to our clients. We regret having to dismiss any employee, but after several coaching sessions and warnings regarding attendance, punctuality, and task completion, Peak decided to separate with this former employee. Shortly after discussion with the former employee began, the former employee became animated and explicative with their language, leaving the building in a rush without completing exit documentation or gathering their personal belongings. As the former employee was no longer employed by Peak, management began separation proceedings, which includes resetting the building security alarm and scheduling a rekey. After several hours, the previous employee returned to the building and trespassed by entering the building before the rekey could be completed. Staff were not present in the building at the time, and the police responded by default to the building alarm. Once management arrived at the building, the former employee was allowed to retrieve his personal items and Peak did not pursue any charges. The security of our staff and assets are of paramount concern to management, as they allow us to serve our customers and maintain the growth of our company. We take pride in our company diversity, as our 50+ person team is made up of employees with different ethnicity and backgrounds. Our team is comprised of a strong group of installation and support staff who work well together in supporting the growth of the business and the safety industry. Peak Fall Protection has been in business since 2004, and is dedicated to keeping our customer's safe when operating on rooftops. Over the years, we have developed strong working relationships with our customers, as well as developed policies, procedures and processes that ensure accurate and complaint products and services are delivered to our customers at a competitive price. While we cannot discuss confidential information on a public forum, all of our products and services are competitively priced based on the type of scope and service being offered. We are always looking to make improvements to our processes and procedures, but are careful to ensure that improvements are implemented without sacrificing accuracy and compliance, as well as the trust, of our valued customers. Peak Fall Protection is an industry leader in fall protection systems and is trusted by numerous national and local customers of all sizes, and we are confident those references would attest that customer service and quality of service (and compliance) are our top priorities. We welcome employees who are self-motivated and looking for a fast-paced, growth oriented company to join our growing team and help us continue to serve our valued customers!
