Flexible work. Great people.

Pros

This is a seasonal, temporary job offered every spring and summer. Teamwork is great. Trainers and supervisors are always there to help when needed. The scoring itself is individual, although everyone on the team is scoring the same item at the same time. Flexible scheduling especially when scoring distributed items is great! Bonuses are sometimes offered and are quite generous.

Cons

Scoring can be monotonous as the same item is scored repetitively. However, once all items are scored, you move on to another item. The work is temporary and can end at any time.

Pros

Not a lot of physical labor and you get to meet people in different professional fields. My manager was a lovely person but we worked for a disorganized, bureaucratic institution that doesn't value employees at all.

Cons

We were trained to proctor exams but also watch patdowns to make sure test takers wouldn't cheat. I felt more like a TSA agent than an administrator. There were only two people in the entire office and did the work of at least 4, with no extra pay and being signed on for more hours than we signed up for.

Pros

No interview, easy hiring process as long as you have a BS or higher. Basic tasks. Distributed projects work on your time

Cons

Low pay as degree holders, bare minimum training, extensive reading on some projects which becomes time consuming if you want to produce quality results. Biggest con, scoring director on most recent project is RUDE
