Pros

There are some genuinely good people trapped in this web.

Cons

I worked here for many years and check their glassdoor periodically. It made me laugh out loud to see the recent fake reviews. This is clearly a company trying to do some damage control but if you are considering working here, don’t be fooled. This was the most chaotic, disempowering, condescending workplace I’ve ever been a part of. The leadership changes direction *constantly*. They will try to frame this positively, but it is clear that they have no vision or plan. Any strategy that they do put out is hollow and empty. At this point, it is a race to the bottom.

Pros

The people who work as ICs and direct managers are some of the most amazing, smartest people I've worked with. They come together extremely well as a team and get things done to an amazing quality. So much to learn from them, truly helpful group. I truly enjoy working with them.

Cons

Just look at how many CEOs they've had in the past two years. Previous CEO kept bringing people over from his old company who had no idea what Velocity Global did. Half of them also left, the other half barely understand what Velocity Global does. One or two are helpful and thoughtful. Job security is extremely unstable. People get let go left and right and everyone's trying to jump ship and find employment elsewhere. Room for growth is extremely limited. People do not get promoted internally and instead, they hire externally which results in using more money and resources and then leadership complains about the lack of money and resources. Sometimes people will see job postings eerily similar to what they are already doing.

Okay company with poor leadership

Pros

- Emerging category that has a "cool factor" - Good work-life balance - Friendly people

Cons

- Executive leadership makes decisions in a vacuum with zero forethought or proper planning, causing major disruptions to teams/operations - Overall product/service offering is weak - Operational dysfunction and archaic budgeting process cause problems in launching effective programs - The marketing team was recently gutted, the company seems to be divesting from all top of funnel programs - Very strong "drink the koolaid" vibe from new leadership
