I joined Velocity Global back in 2018 as a Finance Manager, and it took them six months to issue the offer after my interview, but looking back, I understand their prudent approach to monitoring expenses during that time, which showcased their responsible management practices. Few values like mutual trust, independence, and an absence of micromanagement made for a genuinely empowering environment . One of the most significant highlights of my time at Velocity Global was the invaluable opportunity to interact with several mentors who played crucial roles in my professional development. Starting with CEO Ben Wright, Unlike other CEOs I had encountered, Ben was approachable and willing to share insights about the company's long-term vision and strategies. I will forever cherish the time he spent answering my questions. Additionally, the CFO, Greg Thiessen, left a lasting impression on me with his humility and kindness. He trusted and supported our initiatives, providing the necessary resources for us to flourish. My direct managers, Liam Joyce and Alywin Chia, were not just bosses but friends and mentors, always providing guidance, valuable insights, and constructive feedback to help me improve. The team I worked with at Velocity Global was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had the pleasure of collaborating with. Their dedication, professionalism, and camaraderie made every day enjoyable. Looking back, I can confidently say that Velocity Global provided me with the perfect platform to thrive professionally and personally, and for that, I am immensely grateful!!
