Pros

From the moment I stepped foot into the office for my interview, I already knew that Peek was going to be an awesome startup to work at. The people (Peeksters) here are all extremely friendly, welcoming, down-to-earth, and always willing to lend a helping hand. In addition, everyone here is without a doubt tremendously motivated, hard-working and passionate about what they do. If you ever get a chance to go inside the office, you'll surely agree that the office's interior looks like something straight out of Pinterest. There's an office chef who prepares breakfast four times a week, lunch once a week (Peeknics), and dinner three times a week. (Everything he makes is delicious!) Noah's bagel caters also on Fridays. Will definitely miss working here.

Cons

Had to work on the weekend (Saturdays), but that is expected for positions on the Support team, especially since Peek is a fast-growing startup.

Pros

Peek has a casual work environment with great people. You quickly become friends with all the teammates and colleagues who help you along the way. They have a culture of independence which allows you to chase your goals and targets--without being micromanaged. When you have situations or emergencies, the team shows that they care by being flexible and working with you and helping you out. Communication is highly valued and we meet often as a company to discuss how we are doing as a whole and how we can get better. Guest speakers come to teach us at least twice a month. If you are looking for the experience and growth you can get from working at a startup---then Peek is the place.

Cons

It's fast paced work--so you have to be organized to keep up!

Pros

I had really supportive coworkers who helped get through the long hours and terrible management.

Cons

The worst management I have ever seen, CEO is unprofessional and abusive, and long hours (I'm talking not sleeping and working through the night long hours). While I was still there, if we got a bad review on Glassdoor they had us write a positive review (if you are wondering why there are so many positive reviews it is actually management writing them or them telling people to write another positive to counteract the bad review). Makes me sad as I believed in what we were doing and they had great employees who worked extremely hard to just be treated terribly. The turnover in the last 4 months is astronomically high as people are becoming fed up with how poorly they're being treated and seeing through management's lies. The pay is terrible and they even told the employees if they asked for a raise they would be fired. Lastly, management told contracted employees that had asked for their overtime that they would be treated like salaried employees and would not be paid overtime which is just illegal. I could go on with more issues that happened during my time there but I am pretty sure you'll get the gist of how things actually are at Peek from this message.
