Good at their niche, but a bit closed-minded

Pros

- Generally nice people. Generally :)

Cons

- Very conservative management philosophy, with high emphasis on waterfall methodology, heavy documentation, and very little appetite - or even openness - to more iterative or Agile approaches - Their niche service offering has served them well, which means very limited interest in flexibility, whether in careers or company market offerings - A bit of an inner club at the top, as most of upper management came from the same company before starting/joining Peloton (meaning there is largely a consensus on everything from general project methodologies to what they - as a unit - think of a new hire. And if you take a stance against one of them, you are effectively up against all of them)

Good Company, Weird about raises

Pros

Great culture, super flat hierarchy, easy to reach out for help and to help others

Cons

They have a yearly performance review that is standardized across the board. The items they use to decide if you get a raise (utilization, revenue driven/managed) are outside of your control. You can do everything right, help everyone, make efforts to better the company with internal projects (which count against your utilization negatively unless you do so on your own time) and you still won’t get a raise sometimes.

Pros

While the remote work option was a significant benefit, the support system was lacking. Although they assigned me a mentor, we rarely had any meetings, which hindered my growth and development. Overall, it was not a friendly or supportive environment based on my experience.

Cons

I had a disappointing experience with this company. It does not prioritize employee success and lacks diversity in the workplace. The hiring process was surprisingly easy, but I was terminated without any explanation, which was quite unsettling.
