Pros

PRH publish most of the best books, by most of the best authors. You will get to work on the former, and work with the latter. The internal culture fosters creativity and independence. Your colleagues are passionate and informed. The benefits are excellent, and the paternity leave puts most employers to shame.

Cons

Editorial work is intense everywhere, but particularly so at PRH. Expect to work evenings and weekends unless you're willing to do the bare minimum. If you are willing to do the bare minimum where books are concerned, why work in Editorial? This is the price of a commitment to excellence - at least as long as the company relies on editors working with insufficient or no assistance.
