Pros

Started here as a temp 11 months ago, on a 4 week temporary assignment . Made to feel welcome from day 1. Great staff, happy to show you how to do things . Great work atmosphere. Lots of long term employees , not a high turnover of staff . Opportunity for career progression. On the job training , access to online learning and classroom based training . Staff discount on books , healthcare benefits , free Christmas meal ! Brilliant restaurant which is subsidised . Continuously expanding. Very busy , but full support from most team members and very approachable managers and senior managers. Honestly one of the best employers I have worked for in a long time. I was offered a permanent position 4 months after starting as a temp. Excellent insight in to the world of publishing . No two days are the same .

Cons

Slightly lower wage than I'm used to but made up in other ways , with eyecare vouchers , health care cover , discounts etc . Sometimes the IT system isn't as reliable as it could be , but this is being addressed and a new system is being rolled out in the next few months .

Pros

Amazing teams, with great people. Encourage you to ask questions and learn from them. Requires a proactive mind which they respond to with more tasks and responsibility. The more you put in the more you get out of it! Overall a great experience and insight into publishing.

Cons

unpaid, except for expenses, but as the stints are two-three weeks long, you can save up a bit so you can get through them. Tricky if you have to pay rent in London.
