Pros

Remote work, and some lovely coworkers.

Cons

I was harassed and bullied. My supervisor’s response was to offer ableist advice…repeatedly. HR was unhelpful. I was asked to do my supervisor’s job and provided no additional compensation or change in title. When I complained, I was reprimanded for working outside my role. Workload was untenable and mediocrity was rewarded. Benefits are bargain basement, and pay is barely a living wage. Employees are expected to work themselves into the ground, and a constant state of stress, fear and simmering rage is shrugged off as normal. Employee concerns are treated as annoyances and either placated with empty words or ignored entirely. Avoid this toxic workplace like the plague.

Pros

Worked on a good team of coworkers Manager was generally supportive and responsive to questions Learned about a variety of career fields and skills needed to succeed

Cons

While management was willing to help with job task-related questions, they were not supportive when it came to career growth. I was told numerous times that they’d help me look for stretch projects but those promises never came to fruition while people were hired from outside the company to do the job I was aiming for. The in-office camaraderie and atmosphere was never fully replaced when we went remote. It was almost depressing to work there after a while because people seemed to hide behind Slack rather than be interested in connecting. Management seemed to focus on the wrong things (on icebreakers and mandatory useless training) instead of helping their employees grow.
