Pros

The university has high ranked academic programs such as Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Astronomy, etc. Specifically for materials science and engineering, there is a cluster of shared facilities including electron microscopies, XRD for various research projects. Also, ceramics is the area ranked top 1 in the US. The surrounding communities are mainly occupied by the students, faculty, and staffs, and the safety is pretty good.

Cons

The community is relatively small, and far away from the main big cities. Also, the winters are pretty long, so pack your winter clothing before coming here.
