Pros

If you like applied math, especially computational science, this is a great place to apply!

Cons

The teaching assistant work include teaching as instructors instead of only grading or TAing... But you can always try to get founding from research instead if you are not a big fan of teaching:)

Pros

Within the IT realm, there is a serious emphasis on leadership development and lots of opportunities for professional development. There is a mentoring network, and a peer coaching network. As a research-1 university, this is a chance to play with the big boys in higher ed IT. Recent changes in IT leadership have been for the positive.

Cons

It's in the middle of freaking nowhere. If you don't live for beer and football, it's not a great place to live. Also, there is a strong anti-Microsoft bent, so a lot of enterprise systems (data warehouse, e-mail, web services) run on awkward technology stacks.
