Pros

Working with students and faculty who are passionate about education is incredibly rewarding. There’s a strong sense of purpose in the work, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful initiatives. The College supports diversity and inclusion efforts, and involvement in committees or projects focused on these areas can be fulfilling. Flexible in terms of schedule in many cases, and collaboration with colleagues can be intellectually stimulating.

Cons

Leadership can sometimes prioritize efficiency or institutional metrics over morale, making it challenging to navigate workplace politics. Advancement opportunities within the College can be limited, and long-term growth may require moving elsewhere in the university. Communication and transparency from administration vary; some decisions feel top-down rather than collaborative.
