Pros

- Good experience in Mental Health as you are supporting people with long-term mental health difficulties (depression, anxiety, panic attacks, paranoia, bi-polar, schizophrenia,…). - The expenses are paid to the support people address. - You can go home earlier if a visit is cancelled or the support person doesn´t want support that day. - Great job if you don’t like to be indoors.

Cons

- Training is all done online with lots of policies and modules to read. - 1st week of work you will shadowing your colleagues. There was no training from management or a training team. - Support people in their houses and self-contained flats. - Lone working. You will be alone with the person you are supporting in their house. - You can walk around 10km per day to visit the person that you are supporting, could be 5 different people in different areas. - Only 30 minutes lunch break, sometimes you don´t have time to eat. - You need to use the public, caffe, restaurants,... toilets.
