Pros

Hybrid schedule, OTJ shadowing of another investigator for 2 weeks prior to being solo in the field is helpful

Cons

You will spend lots of time chasing down some Subjects, random influx of cases with pressuring deadlines that then turned to minimal influx of cases because gov shutdown, therefore resulting in progress reports and furlough because I had weeks with 3-5 cases on my dashboard for weeks. Looked for a way to cut down staff during shutdown instead of being honest about staffing abilities

Pros

Work from home, being able to set your own schedule, uber account for travel, and supportive management team.

Cons

Absolutely no work life balance, metrics do not make any sense including traveling out in the field, interviews, and typing. Investigators are not paid enough to even compensate the work being done. It seems impossible to level up and make more money. Job just seems impossible and other investigators are sometimes just lazy and you end up playing rushed clean up on top of your caseload.
