      Pros

      the actual technical staff are typically good. not all, but the senior level staff (not the politicians) in actual technical roles..

      Cons

      there are no incentives to stay with them. if you didn't come into the company recently, your wages may be anywhere from 15% or more below their own paygrade standards.. closer to 50% of market.
