Pros

Lots of opportunities for growth if you are aggressive and driven. Enthusiasm and drive are recognized, but performance is what counts. The CEO Stu Shea has done a very good job of redefining the culture after the original spin-out from Harris. He has created a real stand-out brand in the industry.

Cons

Bureaucracy is a problem, especially in Procurement and Legal. All decisions seem to need C-level approval. Delegation is extremely limited. The private equity owners (Veritas) can be ruthless and more than a bit unpleasant to work for. Interactions can be down right insulting and unprofessional. Lots of people who were hired into Peraton in 2017, when it first formed as a spin-out from Harris, have found themselves squeezed out or demoted after several very large acquisitions. There is no loyalty for those who have been there since the beginning. You are constantly being re-evaluated to see if you can keep your job.
