Horribly Managed

Pros

Money is good. Benefits aren't bad. Environment is typically relaxed. Outside of the operations department it's a good environment with many chances to advance.

Cons

Mandatory overtime. Horrible management. Managers actively dismiss employee's concerns and well being. It's normal for employees to work 12 hour shifts for a month straight with no days off. For the past few years 60+ hour work weeks have been standard. If someone calls out they assign others mandatory overtime and 16 hour shifts. If the individual doesn't work it it's documented as a no call no show. Managers refuse to accommodate employees schedules even if resources are available. They just remind you that the job states abnormal shifts and dismiss you. Something as simple as switching off days with a coworker for one weekend is denied. Managers are familiar with the positions and micromanage constantly. If they're in a bad mood they'll investigate the activities of that day until they can find someone to write up.

Company stepping up in difficult times

Pros

Good benefits, a lot of paid time off. Really good 401k. The covid crisis has been tough on everyone. I'm really proud of how Peraton has stepped up. We hear from the leadership a lot and they are trying to put employees first. Telework put into place for many employees, they sent free face masks to everyone, and they have been sending out a lot of messages from leadership to explain everything that the company is doing. You worry about your job and the stability of the company in times like this, but they're doing a lot to make sure we are taken care of. The business seems to be in good shape in spite of everything.

Cons

None really at this point. They have really improved benefits.
